I have thick kinky dry hair and when I want a straight look, hair products and a straightener tool play a part to achieve the straight look. I chose a tourmaline flat iron because the protection and the look after I achieve.
Tourmaline ceramic plates help close hair follicle upon contact, and minimizing heat damage. Very important if using a hair straightener regularly. Tourmaline seals in moisture with every pass of the hair and help with taming fizz. The tourmaline plates are extremely smooth that generates less tension over a pass through over the hair. This means your hair is less susceptible to snagging or snapping during hair straightener use.
Make sure whichever flat iron you chose it states 100% and not coated.
Chose a flat iron no bigger then 1 1/2 inches.
Find a flat iron that has the ability to change temperature to find out which temperature is best for you.
Always wait till your hair is completely dry before trying to straighten your hair.
Blow dry your hair before straighten depending on your hair texture on a cool setting to loosen your curl pattern.
