International Smoke, the collaborative restaurant of Ayesha Curry and award-winning chef Michael Mina, is partnering with Conscious Couture to help fight human trafficking with an exclusive brunch for VIP ticket holders at Conscious Couture’s Fourth Annual Fashion Fights Trafficking event at CITYCENTRE Houston (800 Sorella Ct. #940) at 9am-5pm on October 19, 2019.
The VIP Brunch is a new addition to the all-day event, which gives ticket holders a rare opportunity to browse and shop nearly half a million dollars of authentic, deeply-discounted luxury merchandise, including items from the personal closets of Houston fashion icons, sample sales from New York Fashion Week designers, and high-end garments and accessories from vintage and luxury consignment boutiques, all to benefit Elijah Rising, a local non-profit dedicated to raising awareness of human trafficking and providing outreach, shelter and recovery for Houston Area survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.
The VIP Brunch will feature food pairings from award-winning Executive Chef EJ Miller and a special Bloody Mary Bar hosted by Diane Mina, CEO of Diane Mina's Bloody Mary Mix, along with signature cocktails, fashion, music and panel discussions with Conscious Couture’s 2019 Style Bosses: Fashion Designer Lela Orr (2019 Project Runway contestant), Restauranteur Diane Mina (Co-Owner Mina Group/CEO of Diane's Bloody Mary Mix), Monica Delgado (Instagram Influencer), CEO & Motivational Speaker Earlene Buggs, and Beena Yusuf (CEO of SHE Magazine)!
The Fourth Annual Fashion Fights Trafficking event will be held at CITYCENTRE Houston, 800 Town and Country Blvd, on Saturday, October 19, from 9am-5pm. The cause-driven event has two affordable pricing options. VIP tickets are $60, and include the International Smoke VIP Brunch and Style Boss panels, early access shopping, cocktails, and a special gift! There is also a Shop & Sip General Admission ticket for just $25.00 that includes shopping (11am-5pm), fashion demos, and a signature cocktail. Tickets are available now at Consciouscouture.net, and space is limited.
This year’s event will also feature a number of iconic and philanthropic Houston women, like Staci Henderson, Dallas Rowden, Katina Kearns, and Earlene Buggs, who will be donating garments and accessories to the Conscious Couture Charity Suite and selling their own personal closets in vendor booths to help support the fight against sex trafficking stateside and abroad!
A portion of each Fashion Fights Trafficking ticket sold will benefit the local anti-trafficking efforts of Elijah Rising.
