TRUST FIRST

How I review,
honestly.

Every review on this site follows the same rules — whether it's a $12 drugstore find or a sponsored launch from a global brand. Here's exactly how it works.

I test before I post.

Minimum two weeks of consistent use before any review goes live. For skincare and haircare, often four weeks or more. No first-impression takes dressed up as reviews.

I'll tell you when I don't love it.

Every review includes a Pros section, a Cons section, and a Who Should Skip It section. Always. If a product doesn't work, you'll know — even if it was sent to me free.

Sponsored content is labeled. Loudly.

Paid partnerships are disclosed at the top of the post in bold, in the title where appropriate, and on every social re-share. The FTC requires it. I'd do it anyway.

Affiliate links don't change my opinion.

Many product links are affiliate — I earn a small commission if you buy. It doesn't cost you anything extra and it never changes my verdict. I only link products I'd recommend to my best friend.

Gifted ≠ guaranteed positive.

Brands send me products to test. That's not the same as paying for a review. If a gifted product disappoints, I say so — or I don't post about it at all.

I correct mistakes, publicly.

If a formula changes, a brand acts badly, or I get something wrong, I update the post with a clearly dated correction. Reviews aren't snapshots — they're commitments.

Posts marked "Gifted" or "PR" received the product for free but were not paid for the review. The opinion is entirely my own.
